“Star Trek and the Next Generation: Postmodernism and the Future of Evangelical Theology” - Stanley Grenz
In this chapter Grenz looks at Star Trek: The Next Generation in terms of its ideological contrasts to the original Star Trek series. His premise is that in many ways, the contrast between Star Trek and The Next Generation is reflective of the ideological shift between the outward-focussed Modernist and the inwardly-reflective Postmodernist theologies over the last fifty years.
